We are now Imagine Citizens Network!

IMAGINE Citizens has refreshed its brand to become Imagine Citizens Network (ICN)!  Our new name and bold new logo will better support us in building awareness of who we are and what we’re about as we continue to grow our presence in Alberta.

We are indeed a network of health citizens, community partners, health-oriented organizations and innovators aimed at transforming health and care in Alberta. The butterfly in our logo conveys transformation and its mosaic of organic shapes represents the diverse stakeholders collaborating to close the gaps in our healthcare system. You may have noticed one of these ‘pebbles’ is in the shape of Alberta. The use of a handwritten font for our tagline reinforces the human side to our mission and our focus on people and their stories of lived experiences.

Our website and email addresses have NOT changed.

Over time we may simply become known as ICN which we expect will resonate more strongly with some of our stakeholder groups such as newcomers, First Nations and others who often don’t identify as citizens.

The timing for a refreshed brand couldn’t be better.  We are currently finalizing our strategic plan where we’ve identified the following priorities for the next three years:

  • Building capacity in individuals and communities so that we can improve health care experiences and outcomes for all of us
  • Expanding our work and growing our expertise in Engaging Albertans which will include developing an agreed-upon set of Health Outcomes that Matter to Albertans” to influence change in our healthcare system
  • Developing strategic relationships with communities and health ecosystem partners to advance mutual goals
  • Establishing sustainable foundations for our organization

These priorities will focus our programs and activities to drive person-centred care in the two areas that most affect everyone in Alberta:  community-based health and care, and digital health. We look forward to sharing news of our progress in upcoming newsletters and on social media.
