Early in 2023, Imagine Citizens Network was invited by Alberta Innovates-Health to speak with Albertans about their awareness and understanding of clinical health research (CHR) in Alberta.
CHR in Alberta aims to improve wellness and health outcomes by developing new treatments and technologies or approaches to care.
We connected with Albertans to establish a baseline of understanding regarding focus areas such as:
- Knowledge of CHR and how it can benefit Albertans
- Interest in research participation, including enablers, motivators and barriers to participation
- Understanding of who owns their health information and protections for ethical health research and data privacy.
